Project Overview

A leading not-for-profit organisation is seeking a SharePoint Developer to accelerate the organisation’s migration to SharePoint Online and enhance core platforms such as the Policy Library and TheLoop.

 

The role will also contribute to broader infrastructure activities, including decommissioning server and cloud-based VDI and VMware resources, implementing automation through PowerShell scripting, and Group Policy management. In addition to delivering these outcomes, the consultant will provide hands-on support and capability development to uplift the internal IT team.


This is a 4-month, full-time contract, with a hybrid working arrangement at the client's Chatswood office in Sydney.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Drive the migration to SharePoint Online, creating capacity and capability for faster adoption.
  • Progress development and implementation of the Policy Library and TheLoop platforms.
  • Support the decommissioning of server and cloud-based VDI and VMware resources.
  • Design and implement automation solutions using PowerShell.
  • Manage and maintain Group Policy to support operational integrity and compliance.
  • Provide hands-on support, coaching, and knowledge transfer to upskill internal IT staff.

 

Your Background

 

Essential:

 

  • Proven experience in SharePoint Online migration and development.
  • Strong technical expertise in server decommissioning, VMware environments, and cloud-based VDI.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience in Group Policy administration.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

 

Highly Valued:

 

  • Prior experience delivering knowledge transfer or capability uplift within IT teams.
  • Background working in not-for-profit, education, or service-based organisations.
  • Familiarity with governance, compliance, and security requirements in IT infrastructure and content management.
