Project Overview

A leading energy organisation is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of a major compliance simplification initiative. The project aims to rationalise and standardise a large set of obligations across the organisation, reducing duplication, streamlining processes, and creating a more efficient and cost-effective compliance framework.

The role will provide day-to-day project coordination and administration support to ensure smooth delivery, including planning, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and reporting. This is a Brisbane-based hybrid engagement, running for 6 months at 3 days per week, with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of project plans, timelines, and key milestones.
  • Organise and coordinate meetings and workshops, prepare agendas, capture actions and decisions, and track follow-ups.
  • Maintain project documentation, templates, and registers, ensuring information is current, accurate, and accessible.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather inputs, circulate updates, and support engagement activities.
  • Monitor progress against deliverables, maintain project status trackers, and assist with the preparation of reports.
  • Manage project inboxes and calendars, coordinate workshops, and support smooth day-to-day operations.

Your Background

Essential:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in project administration or coordination roles.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint).
  • Demonstrated stakeholder coordination and action tracking skills.
  • Exposure to change management activities (communications, workshops, reporting).
  • Experience scheduling and supporting meetings/workshops.
  • Familiarity with managing project documentation, registers, and reporting.

Highly Valued:

  • Experience supporting risk, compliance, or governance projects.
  • Exposure to the energy industry and its regulatory environment.
  • Background in consulting.
