Our client, a global consulting firm, is supporting a leading real estate and construction group on a large-scale finance transformation program. As part of this initiative, they are seeking to bring on board a highly experienced SAP FICO Consultant to lead core finance workstreams, to design, configure, and implement finance and controlling solutions on SAP S/4HANA, ensure best-practice design, and manage senior-level stakeholder expectations.
This is a high-visibility project where the SAP FICO Consultant will be embedded onsite with the client in Gurugram. The role will involve close collaboration with CFO and CxO stakeholders, ensuring seamless SAP FICO operations and integration with cross-functional teams in purchasing, projects, and sales.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide SME expertise in financial accounting, controlling, group reporting, and financial planning.
- Finalize business requirements with client teams and ensure documentation completeness.
- Validate to-be process designs against SAP best practices and industry standards.
- Configure and deliver complex areas such as:
- Financial organization structure, chart of accounts, parallel ledgers, document splitting, and multi-currency handling.
- Procurement finance (PO/Non-PO), brokerages, guarantees, valuation classes, and cash discount handling.
- Customer invoicing (milestone-based), GST compliance, collections, dunning, penalties, and payment milestone revisions.
- Asset accounting (ready-to-use and capital projects), depreciation, disposal, and asset register maintenance.
- Bank integrations (manual/automated payments, BRS, cheque handling, forecasting, cash position).
- Cost/profit center accounting, budgeting, allocations, and reporting.
- Group consolidation and legal/managerial reporting requirements.
- Lead cross-module integrations with SAP SD, MM, and PS.
- Drive UAT, cutover rehearsals, and sign-offs with business teams.
- Define data migration rules and conduct pre-/post-load validation of master and transactional data.
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the System Integrator (SI).
- Support CFO and CxO stakeholders, presenting clear solutions to business-critical issues.
Your background:
- 7–8 years of hands-on SAP FICO consulting experience.
- 4+ full lifecycle S/4HANA Finance implementations (blueprinting to hypercare).
- At least 2+ end-to-end implementations in the Real Estate sector, addressing finance-specific challenges like consolidation, demand notes, booking revisions, cancellations, and project reporting.
- Strong consulting exposure with the ability to interact directly with CFOs, CXOs, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven expertise in data migration and large-scale transformation programs.
- Strong project management expertise - planning, governance, risk/issue management, and delivery
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage CFOs and senior executives
- CA or MBA qualification preferred
