Project Overview

A major Australian financial institution is seeking an experienced Analytics Manager to join its Everyday Products Crew within the Retail Banking Services division. This role will support the delivery of actionable insights that drive innovation, customer value, and continuous improvement across a portfolio that includes Transaction Accounts, Retail Payments, Debit Cards, and Foreign Exchange.

 

Based in Sydney with a hybrid working model, this 12-month engagement offers the opportunity to work within a forward-thinking analytics team that partners closely with Product, Marketing, Digital, and Technology to shape strategy and improve customer experiences.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Deliver end-to-end insights and analytics to support customer-focused initiatives and regulatory communication campaigns.
  • Leverage SQL and Tableau to analyse, visualise, and present findings that drive business decisions.
  • Solve complex business problems through structured analysis and a creative, data-driven mindset.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data into practical recommendations.
  • Share knowledge and uplift analytical capability across the team.
  • Monitor data trends and emerging technologies to improve processes and techniques.
  • Operate with agility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

 

Your Background

 

Essential:

 

  • Proven experience in data analytics, insights, business intelligence, or modelling.
  • Advanced SQL skills and working knowledge of Tableau.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with structured, analytical thinking.
  • Experience delivering high-quality outputs in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Business acumen and a passion for using data to enhance customer outcomes.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a continuous improvement mindset.

 

Desirable:

 

  • Familiarity with regulatory communications or customer communication strategies.
  • Exposure to banking or financial services.
  • Tertiary qualifications in analytics, data science, business, or related disciplines.
  • Awareness of trends in data analytics, data science, and emerging technologies.
