DESCRIPTION:
Our client, a leading Australian bank, is seeking a Marketing Manager to join its Consumer Finance division on a 7-month contract. This role sits within the Credit Cards & Loyalty team and is responsible for developing and delivering Below the Line (BTL) campaigns to drive increased card spend across the existing customer base.
This is a hands-on marketing delivery role focused on executing effective, data-led campaigns through EDM, DM, SEM and other BTL channels. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external creative agencies to drive customer engagement, optimise spend behaviour, and improve campaign effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have strong end-to-end campaign management skills, experience working within complex and regulated environments, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select and prioritise marketing campaigns based on performance opportunities and strategic alignment
- Define campaign objectives, success criteria, and performance measures
- Develop the communication strategy and incentive structures for BTL campaigns
- Create detailed campaign briefs for execution partners and stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, compliance, marketing, finance) and external creative and media agencies
- Review and approve creative assets, messaging, and collateral to ensure quality and alignment with brand and regulatory standards
- Monitor campaign performance and provide ongoing optimisation recommendations
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience developing and executing BTL marketing campaigns (e.g. EDM, direct mail, SEM)
- Experience managing creative agencies and briefing/executing through agency partnerships
- Strong stakeholder management experience across cross-functional teams including compliance, legal, product, and finance
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and deliver to deadlines
- Analytical mindset with the ability to draw insights from data to inform and optimise campaigns
- Clear and concise communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Prior experience in financial services, credit cards, or other regulated industries preferred
