DESCRIPTION:


Our client, an iconic Australian bank, is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join its Credit Cards team on a short-term engagement based in Sydney, operating in a hybrid working model capacity. This is a unique opportunity to transform the bank’s suite of credit card products, driving commercial growth, customer experience, and strategic delivery.


The consultant will play a key role in shaping the credit card portfolio through data-led decisions, strategic thinking, and close collaboration with cross-functional squads. This role is ideal for a product leader with strong cards knowledge, delivery experience, and a passion for improving the customer journey.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead end-to-end product management for the credit cards portfolio, driving performance, relevance, and growth
  • Shape and deliver against the strategic product roadmap, including oversight of cross-squad dependencies and implementation of key initiatives
  • Leverage insights, market research, and competitive intelligence to inform product improvements and innovation
  • Proactively manage product risk, including control performance, issue identification, escalation, and resolution
  • Drive enhancements to the customer experience across features, benefits, and digital channels
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide actionable insights into product performance and business outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Monitor and analyse KPIs, customer feedback, and complaints to identify continuous improvement opportunities


Key Requirements:


  • Strong credit card product knowledge preferred; broader banking product experience highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives in Agile environments with a delivery-first mindset
  • Commercially astute with a strategic and analytical approach to decision-making
  • Proven experience driving high-impact initiatives from planning through execution
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across multiple functions
  • Comfortable navigating risk, compliance, and remediation with a proactive, solutions-led approach
