A leading global creative and strategy consultancy is seeking a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to support its growth ambitions in the Australian market. This engagement is initially focused on shaping and executing the ANZ go-to-market strategy and expanding marketing, branding, and business development efforts, with a longer-term vision to evolve into a global marketing leadership role across the UK, Singapore, and Australia.

 

This role is ideal for a fractional consultant or portfolio professional with deep expertise in B2B marketing within consulting, agency, or professional services industries, who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement the ANZ Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, aligning marketing, brand positioning, and business development efforts.
  • Increase market awareness and generate demand through digital and traditional marketing campaigns.
  • Create and refine strategic collateral, digital content, and storytelling assets to communicate the consultancy’s unique value proposition.
  • Identify and validate business development opportunities, supporting revenue growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the ANZ Regional Director to prioritise marketing initiatives and ensure alignment with regional and global objectives.
  • Operate on an outcomes-focused, project-based model, delivering tangible impact within agreed timelines.
  • Potential expansion of remit to lead global marketing and brand strategy across all three regions beyond the initial engagement.

 

Your Background

 

  • Significant experience in B2B marketing, including digital marketing, strategic content development, and brand storytelling.
  • Strong background in marketing for consulting, agency, or professional services, with an understanding of complex buying cycles and buyer personas.
  • Hands-on capability to execute marketing initiatives, not solely operating at a strategic level.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to thrive in an independent, fractional capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, approachable personality.
  • Ability to coach others and uplift marketing capability within the team.
