RMA requires the assistance of a corporate finance expert to support the Head of Investments and Corporate Finance in assessing and executing on corporate finance transactions, including but not limited to Mergers and Acquisitions. This role will play a crucial part in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, project management and execution, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
This is a 6 month contract opportunity, and requires a consultant based in Gauteng, as the team are working together in-office 4 days a week.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Financial Analysis and Investment Support
- Identifying investment opportunities
- Collect and analyse investment data
- Develop and use high-quality financial models
- Conduct feasibility studies for business expansion models and potential new business acquisitions
- Assist in conducting valuations for Mergers & Acquisitions
- Prepare and contribute to business cases and proposals
- Support the Head in providing investment advice and recommendations to the Executive Committee, Shareholders, and Board
- Contribute to the structuring of financial aspects in commercial partner agreements
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Participate in negotiations
- Collaborate on strategy, revenue budget setting and new business opportunities
- Work closely with the legal team

Key skills and background:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field; MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in financial modelling and valuation techniques
- Track record of successful execution of M&A transactions or corporate restructuring projects
- Experience in conducting due diligence for investment opportunities
- Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and present findings to senior management
- Experience in preparing and presenting investment proposals or business cases
- Familiarity with financial risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Good knowledge of legal structuring and strong negotiation skills
