Project Overview

Our client, a global leader in the FMCG industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Finance & Controlling Manager to join their operations in the Philippines. This is a key role overseeing financial reporting, commercial finance, and internal controls for high-growth product categories in the local market.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Controls

  • Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
  • Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls to protect company assets.
  • Track financial performance and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Commercial Finance

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to evaluate pricing strategies, promotions, and profitability.
  • Conduct ROI analysis for campaigns and capital projects.
  • Provide financial insights on product launches and demand planning.
  • Support the sales forecasting and performance evaluation process.

Financial Operations

  • Oversee finance operations such as AR/AP, payroll, and inventory monitoring.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital efficiently.
  • Maintain and improve financial systems and operational processes.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure timely compliance with all local tax obligations and regulatory filings.
  • Liaise with auditors and consultants during audits and assessments.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise internal teams accordingly.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning cycles.
  • Deliver variance analysis and drive cost optimization initiatives.
  • Guide department heads in managing budgets effectively.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and manage members of the finance shared services team (GBS).
  • Promote a high-performance and collaborative work environment.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance management role within the FMCG sector.
  • Solid understanding of FP&A, tax regulations, and financial controls.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial tools.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
