Our client, a global leader in the FMCG industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Finance & Controlling Manager to join their operations in the Philippines. This is a key role overseeing financial reporting, commercial finance, and internal controls for high-growth product categories in the local market.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Controls
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
- Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and local regulations.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to protect company assets.
- Track financial performance and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Commercial Finance
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to evaluate pricing strategies, promotions, and profitability.
- Conduct ROI analysis for campaigns and capital projects.
- Provide financial insights on product launches and demand planning.
- Support the sales forecasting and performance evaluation process.
Financial Operations
- Oversee finance operations such as AR/AP, payroll, and inventory monitoring.
- Manage cash flow and working capital efficiently.
- Maintain and improve financial systems and operational processes.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure timely compliance with all local tax obligations and regulatory filings.
- Liaise with auditors and consultants during audits and assessments.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise internal teams accordingly.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning cycles.
- Deliver variance analysis and drive cost optimization initiatives.
- Guide department heads in managing budgets effectively.
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and manage members of the finance shared services team (GBS).
- Promote a high-performance and collaborative work environment.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance management role within the FMCG sector.
- Solid understanding of FP&A, tax regulations, and financial controls.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial tools.
- Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
