Our client, Rand Mutual, is looking for a seasoned finance professional to assist for 6 months, to ensure continuity of delivery while recruitment happens (the selected independent will be eligible to apply for the permanent role, if interested).
This is a Gauteng-based, hybrid role.
The primary responsiblities / deliverables in this role will be:
- Overseeing the financial reporting and operational finance aspects of the business
- Internal and external reporting
- Production of business insights / Financial analysis
- Budgeting and business planning
- Delivering on Finance change initiatives
Key skills and background include:
- CA (SA) qualification
- 10 years' post-qualification experience, with 5 at a senior level
- Experience working in a regulated Financial Services company
- Insurance experience is highly preferred (Life or General)
- A proven track record in strategic financial planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance
- IFRS 17 knowledge and experience
- A strong communicator, used to working with senior stakeholders
- Experience managing a team
- Leading a Finance team
