Our client, Rand Mutual, is looking for a seasoned finance professional to assist for 6 months, to ensure continuity of delivery while recruitment happens (the selected independent will be eligible to apply for the permanent role, if interested).

This is a Gauteng-based, hybrid role.

The primary responsiblities / deliverables in this role will be:

• Overseeing the financial reporting and operational finance aspects of the business
• Internal and external reporting
• Production of business insights / Financial analysis
• Budgeting and business planning
• Delivering on Finance change initiatives

Key skills and background include:

• CA (SA) qualification
• 10 years' post-qualification experience, with 5 at a senior level
• Experience working in a regulated Financial Services company
• Insurance experience is highly preferred (Life or General)
• A proven track record in strategic financial planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance
• IFRS 17 knowledge and experience
• A strong communicator, used to working with senior stakeholders
• Experience managing a team
• Leading a Finance team
