Project Overview

Our client is a leading Insurer who are seeking a Head of Pricing to lead its product actuarial function in Indonesia. This is a senior-level role responsible for driving pricing strategy across all product lines, ensuring compliance with group profitability and risk requirements, and collaborating cross-functionally to support product development and approval.


The ideal candidate will bring deep actuarial pricing expertise across unit-linked, traditional, and healthcare products, preferably within large multinational insurers. This role also provides leadership to a 9-member team, with 2 AVP-level direct reports, and requires strong stakeholder management across local and group-level functions.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead and supervise the actuarial pricing team across unit-linked, traditional, and corporate solutions products and distribution channels
  • Collaborate with CFO, Chief Actuary, and Group stakeholders to ensure pricing aligns with risk appetite and profitability targets
  • Oversee the full product development cycle including assumption setting, profit testing, and submission of product approval templates
  • Work closely with Group Product Actuarial, RCE Office, and the local CEO, CFO, and CMO on product strategy, reviews, and filings
  • Ensure adherence to internal product approval processes and timely submissions to regulators (OJK)
  • Drive and support the reinsurance strategy, maintain reinsurer relationships, and manage reinsurance cost-effectiveness
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of actuarial input for business and regulatory reporting


Your Background

Must Have:

  • 12+ years of actuarial experience, with 5+ years in pricing
  • Strong leadership skills with prior experience leading actuarial teams
  • Certified actuary (FSAI preferred; FSA/FIA acceptable)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • Fluent in English; excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Deep expertise in pricing unit-linked, traditional, and healthcare products
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and actuarial software/tools
