Project Overview

Our client, a leading FMCG company, is looking to bring in a Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs to oversee regulatory compliance and strategy across the AMEA region. This 12-month contract role is based in Singapore and has been created to address a growing volume of regulatory work driven by ongoing business transformation efforts.

The Senior Manager will provide strategic regulatory leadership across key Southeast Asian markets—particularly Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand—markets known for their complexity and regulatory volatility. The talent will play a critical role in shaping regional regulatory strategies, ensuring business continuity, and representing the business externally. This is a high-impact leadership position requiring 12–15+ years of regulatory experience, with a strong emphasis on Southeast Asian markets.

What you will be doing

• Leading the regulatory function for Southeast Asia, ensuring end-to-end compliance of products, ingredients, and claims across multiple markets.

• Shaping and implementing regional regulatory strategies aligned with broader business objectives.

• Acting as a key point of contact with external regulatory bodies, industry associations, and local distributors to influence favorable regulatory outcomes.

• Partnering with internal teams including R&D, Legal, and Commercial to proactively address regulatory challenges.

• Managing complex product registration and labeling processes across varied jurisdictions, with an emphasis on timely market entry.

• Overseeing regulatory intelligence gathering and interpretation to pre-empt potential business impacts.

• Providing senior-level input into policy development and business planning for market expansion.

• Coaching and mentoring junior team members, and contributing to capability building across the function.

Your background

• 12–15+ years of experience in regulatory affairs within the food or FMCG sectors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred but not essential.

• Deep expertise in Southeast Asian food regulations, especially Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

• Proven track record of navigating complex regulatory environments and influencing external stakeholders.

• Strong strategic and leadership capabilities, with experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.

• Background in snacks, general FMCG, or adjacent sectors such as infant nutrition is advantageous.

• Experience working with distributors and external regulatory partners.
