Project Overview

Our client, a prominent payment services provider in the retail space, is seeking an Operations Support Analyst to ensure smooth, efficient, and professional payment operations. The role involves supporting merchant onboarding, managing financial reconciliations, assisting with scheme settlements, and providing operational support to merchants.


This opportunity is ideal for an experienced analyst with a background in financial operations, reconciliation, and payment processing, who thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.


Key Activities


  • Assist in new merchant onboarding, ensuring seamless setup and compliance.
  • Reconcile daily merchant settlements, validate scheme settlements, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare invoices and supporting financial reports for Wpay merchants.
  • Manage support tickets and provide operational assistance to merchants.
  • Support Accounts Payable functions, including purchase requisitions and invoice reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with finance, risk & compliance, and external merchant support partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform ad hoc operational tasks to resolve billing, settlement, and reporting issues.


Your Background


Essential:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial operations, payment processing, or reconciliation.
  • Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills, with the ability to handle large data sets.
  • Knowledge of reconciliation processes and intermediate accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with card payment transaction processing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and manage repetitive tasks with precision.


Desirable:

  • Experience working in a payments or fintech environment.
  • Exposure to risk & compliance frameworks in financial operations.
  • Experience with merchant support functions or working with external service providers.
