Project Overview

Our client, a leading global consulting firm, is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Go-to-Market (GTM) Consultant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a major consumer durables client based in Bangalore and contribute to optimizing their market presence and sales strategies. The position is a temporary contract role.


This role requires extensive expertise in traditional trade (FMCG or consumer durables), distributor management, retail expansion, and sales team productivity enhancement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to enhance market reach and distributor effectiveness.
  • Manage and optimize distributor relationships to drive business growth.
  • Expand retail reach by identifying and onboarding new partners.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly sales reviews to track KPIs and sales performance.
  • Monitor and improve sales team productivity through performance analysis and targeted interventions.
  • Design and implement sales incentive programs to motivate sales teams..
  • Conduct market assessments to identify opportunities for growth and competitive positioning.
  • Generate reports and insights for senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support the development and execution of branch-level sales strategies.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Increase in distributor effectiveness and engagement.
  • Growth in retail reach and channel expansion.
  • Improvement in sales team productivity and performance.
  • Timely and accurate tracking of sales KPIs and performance reviews.
  • Positive feedback from stakeholders on GTM strategy execution.


Qualifications and Experience

  • 6-12 years of experience in GTM strategy, sales operations, and distributor management within traditional trade (FMCG or consumer durables).
  • Proven experience in retail reach expansion and sales team management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and monitor sales KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in sales analytics and reporting tools.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.


Mandatory Skills

  • Expertise in GTM strategies and execution.
  • Sales performance analysis and KPI monitoring.
  • Familiarity with consumer durables or FMCG


Contract Details

  • Location: Bangalore
  • Term: 6 months contract (extendable to 18 months)
