Our client is seeking an Analyst/Consultant to support an ESG carbon accounting tool assessment. This role will work with a Manager and another Analyst/Consultant within a project team, focusing on one of two work streams; evaluating and benchmarking carbon accounting software solutions. It will require working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, usability, and integration potential within existing sustainability frameworks.


The ideal talent will have experience in carbon accounting methodologies, ESG data analysis, and sustainability reporting.


Key Activities:

  • Tool Evaluation & Benchmarking: Assess multiple carbon accounting software tools against predefined criteria.
  • Technical & Functional Analysis: Compare features, integration requirements, scalability, and alignment with regulatory frameworks.
  • Data Collection & Validation: Gather data from vendors, internal teams, and third-party research sources to inform decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Support: Work alongside the Manager to facilitate vendor meetings, conduct demos, and synthesise key findings.
  • Deliverable Creation: Develop a structured assessment report, outlining tool recommendations and business case considerations.


Your Background:


  • Experience: 3–6 years in ESG, sustainability consulting, carbon accounting, and/or environmental data analysis.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Experience with carbon accounting frameworks and emissions reporting standards.
  • Knowledge of leading ESG data platforms and their application.
  • Skills:
  • Strong research, quantitative analysis, and benchmarking abilities.
  • Ability to distill complex technical insights into clear, business-friendly recommendations.
