Project Overview

Our client, a leading consulting firm and is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as the Cards Business Development Manager. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive strategic initiatives and contribute to maintaining the organization’s position as a market leader in the cards business. The position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a 12-month contract.


This role requires extensive expertise in business development, a proven track record in cards acquisition, and the ability to implement actionable strategies to drive growth in a competitive market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review current sales processes across multiple channels (Branches, Tele Sales, Digital & Direct Sales) to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Enhance and update sales training materials; conduct quarterly training sessions for branch networks, tele-sales agents, and direct sales teams.
  • Conduct mystery shopping to evaluate sales effectiveness through branches.
  • Develop and execute sales campaigns for staff and customers to boost acquisition and retention.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of market trends in KSA.
  • Generate data-driven insights and reports to track sales progress and identify bottlenecks.
  • Develop high-quality presentations to support business development activities.
  • Analyze application rejection reasons and suggest process improvements to enhance aftersales performance.
  • Engage with stakeholders to refine internal processes for card acquisitions and aftersales activities.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to address system changes or enhancements impacting sales and aftersales.
  • Review and recommend improvements to RAC policies.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Sales Growth: Achieve and surpass ambitious 2025 sales targets.
  • Process Efficiency: Implement streamlined sales and aftersales processes.
  • Training Effectiveness: Enhance salesforce capabilities through effective training and materials.
  • Customer Experience: Improve customer satisfaction by addressing application rejections and streamlining onboarding processes.
  • Market Positioning: Maintain and expand the organization’s competitive edge in the cards business.


Qualifications and Experience

  • 12+ years of experience, with 5+ years specifically in cards acquisition or business development.
  • Regional expertise and a strong understanding of the financial services landscape in Saudi Arabia.
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing sales action plans and strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research and derive actionable insights.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic (mandatory).
  • Strong presentation and training skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • A track record of delivering results and achieving targets in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
