Project Overview

Our client, a global payments firm, is seeking a Senior Manager – Product & Partnerships to lead their Credit Cards Product initiatives. This is a 12-month contractual role based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, reporting to the VP & Head of Product & Loyalty of the end client bank. The role is instrumental in driving product innovation, managing partnerships, and enhancing the bank’s credit card offerings to deliver superior customer experiences. The role holder will develop strategies for product growth, lead the end-to-end product development process, and manage vendor partnerships to ensure the delivery of competitive and customer-centric credit card solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional with a strong background in product management, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.


What You Will Be Doing

Product Management

  • Develop and manage strategies to generate revenue through credit card products aligned with bank objectives.
  • Support client-facing teams with product expertise to address complex client needs.
  • Drive marketing campaigns to promote product growth in collaboration with the internal marketing team.
  • Benchmark product performance against market competition, regularly reviewing pricing strategies.
  • Provide training to internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective product rollout.

Product Innovation and Development

  • Define and execute consumer product strategies and value propositions.
  • Monitor and enhance existing credit card solutions while identifying opportunities for new product development.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Direct Sales Agents to address customer requirements and identify gaps.
  • Ensure alignment with market trends, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.

Partnership and Vendor Management

  • Evaluate, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts to ensure cost-efficient and quality service delivery.
  • Oversee SLAs, conduct performance reviews, and renegotiate vendor terms as needed.
  • Ensure smooth vendor operations aligned with the bank’s standards.

Internal Collaboration

  • Foster strong internal relationships with cross-functional teams to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
  • Engage stakeholders from Operations, Technology, Credit, Legal, and Risk to enhance client experience.

Product Rollout

  • Drive commercialization of new products, recommending pricing strategies and equipping sales teams with tools and training.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch to address issues and ensure continuous improvement.

Policies, Systems, and Reporting

  • Implement and oversee departmental policies, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Contribute to process improvements, leveraging international best practices.
  • Prepare and supervise sub-departmental reports to meet internal requirements and standards.

People Management

  • Define goals and KPIs for team members and oversee their performance management.
  • Develop talent through coaching and guidance to achieve defined goals.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Growth in total portfolio revenue.
  • Number of new customers added to the portfolio.
  • Time-to-market adherence for new product launches.
  • Client satisfaction index.
  • Compliance with policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Product performance according to business plans.
  • Absence of negative audit findings or product risk profiles.

Your Background

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years in product management, with a focus on credit cards or related financial products.
  • Proven track record in product innovation, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Skills:
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Deep understanding of credit card product lifecycle management and market trends.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
