Our client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst with capital markets experience to work closely with their development team on a crucial integration project. In this role, you will support the team by gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements to facilitate the integration of existing trade systems with a new compliance platform. This is a 6-month contract, requiring 4 days onsite at their Sandton offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear and concise functional requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify any discrepancies between current trading systems and the new compliance platform.
- Map and document data flows and system interactions.
- Work with developers and technical teams to ensure requirements are well understood and adhered to during integration.
- Ensure alignment of requirements with the company's compliance policies and regulatory standards.
- Support testing efforts by defining acceptance criteria and participating in user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the integration process.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within the financial services or trading sector. Capital markets experience is required.
- Proven experience in business and functional requirements gathering and documentation.
- Strong familiarity with trading systems and compliance platforms, especially within the capital markets context.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with integration projects or similar cross-platform initiatives is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements in the trading or financial services industry.
