Position Overview
Our client, Deloitte, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Investigator to support the Senior Manager in delivering exceptional services at client premises on delegated engagements and projects. The ideal candidate will possess advanced analytical skills and excellent communication abilities, enabling them to convey complex findings effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Senior Management: Assist the Senior Manager in the execution of various projects and engagements at client sites
- Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analyses to identify irregularities and support investigative findings
- Communication: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that clearly articulate complex findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
- Collaboration: Work closely with law enforcement agencies and external partners to enhance the effectiveness of investigations
Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant degree, honors, or postgraduate diploma in a related field
- CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification
Desired Qualifications
- Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) certification
- International Certification in Financial Forensics (ICFP)
Minimum Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in fraud detection, risk management, or forensic investigation roles
- Proven experience in providing dispute services
- Experience in conducting interviews and providing testimony
- A successful track record of leading and concluding complex investigations effectively
- Experience collaborating with law enforcement agencies and other external partners
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify patterns indicative of fraud or misconduct
- Legal Acumen: Understanding of legal frameworks related to fraud and forensic investigations
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings and recommendations clearly
