Project Overview

Our client is seeking consultants (Consultant to Manager levels) with experience in Commercial Due Diligence (CDD). The project will focus on evaluating an investment in a listed fleet leasing business. The successful consultants will be responsible for conducting a thorough commercial due diligence covering market analysis, competitive positioning, client reviews, and technology assessment.

The ideal consultants will have strong CDD experience, with a preference for those with exposure to diverse industries within Financial Services (FS), though this is not essential. Immediate availability required and ideally Sydney-based although there is potential for remote work if aligned with AEST timezone.

Key activities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct an in-depth analysis of the fleet leasing market in both ANZ and the UK, identifying key market trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Competitor Analysis: Evaluate the competitive landscape within the fleet leasing sector, highlighting the strengths, weaknesses, and market positions of key competitors.
  • Client Analysis: Assess client needs and behaviours, and analyse how well the target company is positioned to meet these demands within the ANZ and UK markets.
  • Technology Diligence: Review the technology capabilities of the target company, focusing on scalability, digital infrastructure, and alignment with future industry trends.
  • Reporting & Presentation: Prepare clear, concise, and actionable reports summarising findings and recommendations to support the client’s investment decision.

Your background:

  • Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) Experience: Proven experience conducting CDD, with a focus on market, competitive, and client analysis.
  • Technology Diligence: Experience in evaluating technology capabilities in the context of business scalability and digital transformation is highly desirable.
  • Consulting Experience: Preferably 3-8 years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm, demonstrating strong problem-solving and client-facing skills.
  • Financial Services (FS) Exposure: Exposure to the FS industry is preferred but not essential. Broader sector experience, particularly in fleet leasing or asset-heavy businesses, would be advantageous.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to ensure timely delivery of insights and recommendations over the four-week engagement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of the project.
