Our client, a Big 4 consulting firm, is engaged in a transformation project with a leading pharmaceutical company. The pharmaceutical company operates a USFDA-approved plant in Bangalore and is looking to optimise its operational efficiency and reduce costs as part of the transformation. To ensure the project's success, the client seeks a highly experienced expert from the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record in cost optimisation and process improvement within US FDA-approved facilities.

We are looking for an expert who can provide strategic guidance and implement best practices in cost optimisation and process improvement at the US FDA-approved plant, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while achieving operational excellence.

Key Deliverables:

  • Assessment of Current Operations:
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of current manufacturing processes and workflows at the plant.
  • Identify inefficiencies and areas where cost reduction can be achieved without compromising quality or compliance

  • Process Optimisation:
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Introduce lean manufacturing principles or other methodologies that will drive continuous improvement in the plant's operations.

  • Cost Optimization:
  • Analyse the plant's cost structure and identify key cost drivers
  • Propose actionable recommendations for cost reduction across various functions, including labor, materials, and energy consumption.

  • Regulatory Compliance Assurance:
  • Ensure all proposed changes and process improvements adhere to USFDA standards and guidelines
  • Work closely with the quality assurance and regulatory teams to maintain compliance throughout the transformation process

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with the client’s consulting team, plant management, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and successful implementation of cost-saving initiatives

  • Reporting and Continuous Monitoring:
  • Provide regular reports on the progress of the optimisation initiatives
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process improvements and cost-saving measures
  • Develop a framework for continuous monitoring and improvement to ensure long-term sustainability of the initiatives
