Project Overview

Our Client, SBV, is looking for a Talent Practitioner to join their team based in Houghton, JHB for a 6-month project with the option to go permanent. This is a hybrid role that requires you to be in the office 2 times a week.


You will be responsible for delivering Talent Management and Assessment services that align with SBV's HR strategy, aiming to improve the overall effectiveness and operational efficiency of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


Talent Management Implementation:

  • Coordinate and execute end-to-end Talent Management initiatives, ensuring they align with SBV’s strategic goals. Provide support and input for succession planning and talent development frameworks, continuously seeking ways to enhance services.


Assessment Centre Management:

  • Design, develop, and manage an Assessment Centre tailored to the organization's competency framework and job families. Partner with key stakeholders to implement and maintain the Assessment Centre, ensuring it supports effective talent identification and development.


Psychometric Assessments:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychometric assessments, including administration, scoring, interpretation, and feedback. Provide data-driven recommendations to assist in recruitment and talent selection processes, ensuring alignment with business requirements and HPCSA guidelines.


Training and Development:

  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs, including soft skills training, tailored to the organization’s Talent Management needs. Collaborate with HR teams to create content, facilitate training sessions, and ensure continuous improvement of training initiatives.


Governance and Reporting:

  • Ensure all Talent Management and Assessment activities comply with legislative and organizational standards. Provide regular reports on the effectiveness of talent initiatives, including progress on projects, risk identification, and proposed solutions.


Stakeholder Management and Change Leadership:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support HR solutions and project delivery. Act as a change leader, promoting SBV’s values, driving transformation initiatives, and fostering a culture of performance and engagement across the organization.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Research and implement best practices in Talent Management and Assessment. Continuously evaluate and improve frameworks, tools, and methodologies to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the business.


Minimum Requirements:

Work Experience

• 3 years’ working experience within a senior psychometrist role, providing feedback at all levels; of which,

  • 1 year implementing projects, and
  • 1 year Talent Management experience

• Knowledge of Human Resources Management processes and practices.


Education

• BA/ B Com degree: Human Resources/Industrial Psychology

• Post graduate qualification (Hons or Masters) in Industrial Psychology

• HPCSA Registered Psychometrist / Industrial Psychologist
