Opportunity overview

Our client, is a global leader in air cargo and aviation food solutions, providing end-to-end network services and innovative hub handling, is seeking a Concur Travel & Expense System Support Specialist. The role is expected to start around late August to September 2024, with interviews scheduled from mid-July until mid-August. This opportunity arises as part of the company’s initiative to enhance and expand their existing Concur Travel & Expense (T&E) system across new entities and business units. The success of this project will be measured by the efficiency of system maintenance, user satisfaction, and the seamless integration of system enhancements.


What you will be doing

  • Work with business users: Collaborate with various business units to facilitate the expansion of the Concur T&E system to new entities and units.
  • Maintain system configurations: Assist in maintaining and updating configurations of the Concur T&E system, working closely with SAP S/4HANA and Travel Management Company (TMC) teams to handle change requests.
  • Perform configuration tests: Conduct thorough configuration tests, including API integrations, prior to implementing changes into the production environment.
  • Provide technical support: Address technical support issues and user inquiries via phone, email, and chat submissions. Escalate cases to Concur as necessary.
  • Root cause analysis: Investigate and perform root cause analysis of reported defects and errors, collaborating with SAP S/4HANA and TMC teams to implement corrective fixes and provide alternative solutions.
  • Incident management: Address system issues following IT application incident and problem management processes, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents like bank information updates and PAR level 2-star issues with GDS.
  • Issue tracking and monitoring: Maintain a comprehensive log of all system issues, tracking and analyzing trends to identify recurring incidents and queries.
  • User guidance and training: Guide employees on navigating the Concur online booking tool and resolving profile-related errors, ensuring compliance with the company’s Travel Policy during the reservation process.
  • Manual interventions: Assist with manual changes where automation is not feasible.
  • Account maintenance: Perform monthly maintenance of Concur user accounts, including creation, updates, and terminations, handling an average of 10-20 tickets per month. Maintain authorized approvers in both Concur Travel and Expense modules.
  • Policy compliance: Ensure the Concur T&E system remains updated according to company policies and employee handbook guidelines.
  • Continuous improvement: Recommend continuous improvements and preventive measures for recurring incidents and queries, collaborating with users, system vendors, and technology teams to implement approved recommendations.


Your background

  • Experience: Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in supporting Concur Travel & Expense systems or similar enterprise-level applications.
  • Technical skills: Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA integration and API management. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Incident management: Experience in incident and problem management processes.
  • Industry knowledge: Knowledge of travel industry standards and practices is a plus.


Other important information

  • This position requires occasional off-hours availability for system updates and support.
  • The role will consume approximately 40-50% of the daily workload for Application Management Services (AMS) support.
  • Coverage is required during office hours only, with an estimated ticket volume of approximately 10-20 tickets per month.
  • The initial maintenance duration is 3 years with potential for annual extensions.
