Our client is a global payments and consulting firm. They are looking for an experienced SME Credit Card Product Manager who will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our SME credit card programs. The individual will be responsible for developing strategies to enhance portfolio growth, ensuring profitability, and maintaining sustainability. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of credit card products and a strong focus on meeting the unique needs of the SME segment.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Management:

  • Develop and implement product strategies that align with the needs of SME clients.
  • Design and launch innovative credit card products and features specifically tailored for SMEs.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to effectively promote and distribute new products.

Portfolio Management:

  • Continuously monitor and analyse the performance of the SME credit card portfolio to gauge profitability, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify market trends and potential risks, devising effective strategies to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate threats.
  • Optimize pricing, fees, and reward schemes to enhance revenue streams and ensure customer retention.

Business Expansion:

  • Formulate and execute growth strategies aimed at expanding the SME credit card business.
  • Explore new market opportunities and forge strategic partnerships to broaden market reach.
  • Drive marketing and promotional efforts to attract new clients and boost card usage among existing customers.

Risk Management:

  • Oversee credit, fraud, and operational risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards.
  • Develop robust risk mitigation protocols to safeguard both the business interests and customer needs.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including SME clients, business partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Enable sales teams through training and support, enhancing their ability to sell and promote SME credit card products effectively.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or relevant professional qualification is highly regarded.
  • At least 10 years of experience in credit card product management, with a specific focus on the SME segment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and scaling credit card programs tailored to SME needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of the SME market dynamics, financial products, and the regulatory landscape in the Middle East.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in strategic planning and problem-solving.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
