Project Context and Background:

Our client is a leading consulting firm and they are are initiating a comprehensive digital transformation project for a leading client in the Power & Utilities sector, focusing on transmission and distribution. This pivotal role requires an experienced Digital Transformation Expert to design and implement a transformation strategy that spans all 20 departments, including IT and Operational Technology (OT). The project aims to redefine the client’s operating model, optimize performance, and ensure sustainable growth through advanced digital practices. This is a contractual role and may be converted to a permanent role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Design: Develop a holistic digital transformation strategy that integrates all aspects of the client's operations.
  • Operating Model Definition: Define a detailed operating model encompassing:
  • People & Skills
  • Policies, Processes, Procedures, Templates & Forms
  • Technology
  • Governance
  • Sourcing Model
  • Costing
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Business Case Development: Create both qualitative and quantitative business cases to support the transformation initiatives.
  • Change Management: Design and execute a robust change management framework to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new practices.
  • Digital Transformation Office (DTO): Develop and operationalize the DTO framework in alignment with strategic objectives and the defined operating model.
  • Project Execution: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful strategy implementation and operational optimization.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for professionals from the Power & Utilities sector.
  • Proven track record in leading comprehensive digital transformation projects.
  • Extensive knowledge in setting up and managing digital transformation initiatives across complex organizations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in modern digital technologies and their application in enhancing business operations within the power and utilities sector.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Highly analytical with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent team collaboration and leadership abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, proficient in English; Arabic is a plus.
