Project Overview

Our client, a global consulting firm, is looking for a consultant to support them on a Capital Program Management project for a large steel major in India. They are looking for someone with prior experience in managing large capex projects with engineering/construction/steel firms.

Below summarises the responsibilities of the consultant:

  • Reviewing and enhancing the project schedule for accuracy
  • Facilitating, planning and scheduling workshops
  • Assisting in the implementation of digital solutions for managing large-scale projects
  • Coordinating cross-functionally among various stakeholders, such as the Project Team, Project Management Consultant (PMC), Design Team, and others
  • Maintaining daily coordination with the PMC and subcontractors to ensure timely project execution
  • Establishing a governance framework, including conducting reviews, monitoring key metrics, and preparing reports

An ideal candidate would have:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in managing large capex projects
  • Experience of having worked with either an engineering/construction/steel firm or experience of being a project management consultant for construction projects
  • A post-graduation degree from a top tier university is mandatory

This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 12-month contract. The consultant will be required to be based in Odisha for the entire duration of the project.
