Purpose of the Role
The Finance Business Partner is responsible for driving the Operating Expense (OPEX) budget process as part of the annual business planning cycle. Working closely with Insurance Executive leadership, the role supports strategic planning, budget preparation, forecasting, and reporting to ensure effective financial management and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the FY28 Operating Expense (OPEX) budgeting process.
- Partner with Insurance Executive members to understand business strategies and translate them into financial plans.
- Prepare and consolidate OPEX budgets and headcount budgets across the business.
- Load and maintain budget data within the company's budgeting and forecasting systems.
- Produce and distribute OPEX budget reports and related management information.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support planning and decision-making.
- Ensure budget submissions are accurate, complete, and aligned with business objectives and timelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.
- Ability to work effectively with senior executives and influence decision-making.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills.
Contract Details
- Contract Term: 4 months (October 2026 to January 2027)
- Start Date: 1 October 2026 (or earlier if available)
- Working Arrangement: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office
- Capacity: Full-time
